The Lake

I spent the better part of this week on the lake. I did my very best to relax and stay away from the internet though both efforts were almost as stressful as the rest of my stress. I ate sandwiches, I played board games and card games, I put on a bathing suit, and I worked on my freckles. My little vacation was exactly what I needed, perfect weather, family, Andy, and a little bit of nature.

My brother and my father are excellent water skiers. My dad is in his 50s and can still slalom ski like a man in his 20s with a ski roughly that same same age. Because he’s awesome. I want to be awesome too. So I decided I would try skiing again, something I’ve never ever been able to do, thinking that maybe, just maybe, this was my summer. The summer I would conquer the lake.

It was not my time. This is a picture of me cycling the entire lake through my sinuses. Next year, lake. I’ll see you next year.
