Spring clean your insides…. Cleanse Time! (Day 4+)

I didn’t forget about you my little cleansers. I am in Rancho La Puerta at a world-renowned spa and fitness facility. It is absolutely breathtaking. Amber is amazing and we are having a blast. I wanted to quickly post a few recipes so you didn’t feel like I was throwing you to the wolves. You should still be following the daily routine and making sure that you are engaging in some sort of cleansing activities. This could be :


-Steam Room

- Colonics

- Hot Yoga

I did a colonic on Friday and it was absolutely amazing. My colonic therapist was thrilled that I was cleansing and she could see a huge difference in my digestive track because it seemed to be flushing beautifully. She also applauded me for all the water I had been drinking. The cleanse is proving to be a success. Not to mention how GREAT I feel.


On to the recipes: (courtesy of Crazy Sexy Diet, with a few additions by me)


Vegan Cesar Salad and Dressing

1 cup Veganaise

1 ½ teaspoon Dijon Mustard

1 clove garlic

1 tablespoon water

1 ½ teaspoon olive oil

1 ½ teaspoons nutritional yeast

2 slices gluten free bread

1 Red Onion

salt and pepper to taste

To serve, pour over romaine lettuce leaves with chopped red onion. Toast gluten free bread and cut into small squares for croutons.


Cabbage Hemp Salad

4 cups red or green cabbage, shredded

3 tablespoons hemp or sesame seeds

1 ½ tablespoons hemp oil

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice

¾ cup cilantro, chopped

½ tablespoons sea salt

pinch of cayenne (optional)

In large mixing bowl, toss all ingredients well. Massage cabbage until dressing is absorbed and cabbage softens.


Shaved Kale Avocado Salad

1 head kale

1 cup tomato or red bell pepper, diced

1 cup avocado, chopped

2 ½ tablespoons olive oil or flaxseed oil

1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon cayenne

In mixing bowl toss all ingredients, squeezing as you mix to “wilt” the kale and cream the avocado. Serve immediately. As a variation, add chopped fresh herbs or your choice of diced vegetables. You can also substitute chard or spinach for kale.


On to some juices….


Green Guru Smoothie

1 avocado

5-8 romaine leaves

1 cucumber

2 ounces E3 live

1 cup coconut water or (purified water)

1 banana or 2 pears

stevia to taste or 1 teaspoon agave

Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.



Green Coconut Smoothie

2 bananas, frozen

2 HUGE handfuls spinach (you won’t even taste it)
1 cup hemp or almond milk
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon coconut oil

Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend until mixed. Serve in tall glasses and enjoy.


My internet is limited here on the ranch in Baja, California but I will try my hardest to do another post providing you with more cleanse approved recipes. I can’t wait to post all about my adventure here at Rancho La Puerta. I have already learned so much in being here just one day.

  1. Colonics sound gross but I’m glad they are working for you! :)

    I hope you come back soon. We miss you in San Diego. Also, I need someone to help me eat healthy! I’ve been doing an excellent job so far though! :)

    I may have to go get a green juice all by myself this week….
